Everything you need to know about taking a private jet or yacht to Bawah Reserve

In the Covid’19 era the demand for private transport is increasing and it’s not hard to see why, travelling via private jet or boat has many advantages:

  • Ultimate privacy
  • Increased social distancing
  • Access to smaller private airports and ports
  • Faster journey times
  • VIP access in public airports avoiding large crowds
  • Stress free transport and logistics
  • The journey is a relaxing part of the holiday

If you are keen on using a private jet or yacht to get to Bawah Reserve here’s everything you need to know to help you plan your journey.

Private Jet Travel

Option one:

Guests wishing to travel to Bawah Reserve via private aviation should plan to fly directly into the Hang Nadim Airport (BTH) in Batam, Indonesia for direct transfer to Bawah’s amphibious seaplane.

Our transport team will arrange VIP immigration clearance if you are arriving from outside of Indonesia.

All guests then transfer to our amphibious plane for transport to the resort as a water landing is required. Our amphibious plane can take up to 10 guests (weight/luggage dependant) and is available for private charter to the resort should you need varied timings, prefer complete privacy or have a larger group.

Option two:

Another alternative, albeit it longer and only available if you are flying within Indonesia, would be to fly into Letung a domestic airport located in Jemaja, Anambas. Letung airport is able to serve aircraft equivalent to ATR 72.

From Letung airport there are two options, either connect with our amphibious seaplane for a 20 minute flight or take a 20 minute car journey to the port where our private yacht will be waiting to take you on the two hour sea crossing to Bawah Reserve.

With either option we can assist with private jet charter services from anywhere in the world into Batam for connection with our amphibious plane. We have a few private jet partners who we work with. Please discuss with our reservations team for specific pricing and timings.

Sample pricing:
  • A four seater Honda Jet from Seletar airport in Singapore will cost approximately $5000-$6000 USD one way.
  • Private charter of our amphibious plane from Batam airport to Bawah Reserve is $10,000 USD one way.

Private Yacht

Bawah Reserve is around 10 hours sailing non-stop from Singapore. If you start your nautical journey in Singapore then you must stop in Nongsa Point Marina, Batam, Indonesia for port immigration and customs clearance. We recommend allowing three hours for this process.
Bawah Reserve is 140 nautical miles North-East of Nongsa, Indonesia.

The Anambas Archipelago is start of the coral triangle and is a stunning area to explore. Bawah Reserve sits at the bottom of the islands so it is a perfect destination at the start or end of your yachting journey.
