1) NEW ADDITION - The Man With The Golden Gun - James Bond

Khao Phing Kan, Thailand is the set for this blockbuster 1974 film, The Man with the Golden Gun. Featured as Francisco Scaramanga’s hideout in Phuket’s Phang Nga province, it is now commonly known as the James Bond Island.  With No Time to Die newly launched it's definitely James Bond fever time! 2) Cast Away 

Castaway

Cast Away is a deserted island classic starring Tom Hanks – and his beloved ball
Wilson – as a FedEx employee who must learn to survive on an uninhabited island in
the South Pacific.

3) The Beach

DiCaprio and Tilda Swinton star in the movie which made the Thai island of  Ko Phi

4) Swiss Family Robinson

Swiss Family Robinson is a 1960 Disney film based on a book written in 1812 by
Johann David Wyss. There are pirates, tree-houses and close encounters with wild
animals in this tale of a shipwrecked family who must decide whether rescuing is
really what they want after all.

5) Treasure Island

Treasure Island is the first live-action movie by Disney ever made. The
1950 adventure film is adapted from Robert Louis Stevenson's 1883 novel and
features drunken pirates, mutineers and a hunt for buried treasure.

6) Moana

Moana is an animated Disney blockbuster about a strong-willed Polynesian girl who
must show leadership and bravery to save the population of her island village. With
songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the movie has an award-winning soundtrack
and won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature.

7) South Pacific

South Pacific is a 1958 film based on the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical South
Pacific. It was the duo’s highest-grossing musical until The Sound of Music was
released seven years later. The soundtrack hit No. 1 in both the US and the UK and
includes songs such as “Some Enchanted Evening” and “I’m Gonna Wash That Man
Right Outta My Hair.”

8) A Perfect Getaway 

The perfetct getaway

A Perfect Getaway is a 2009 thriller starring Timothy Olyphant,  Milla
Jovovich, Kiele Sanchez and Steve Zahn. Shot in Hawaii and Puerto Rico, the movie
follows the holiday of two couples who find their dream destination diminished when
travellers in their midst meet an untimely demise.

9) Six Days, Seven Nights 

6 days 7 nights movie Six Days, Seven Nights is a movie starring Harrison Ford and Anne Heche that was
released in 1998. A blend of adventure, comedy and romance, the movie was filmed
in Kauai and features David Schwimmer and Allison Janney in supporting roles.

10) Lost

Lost is an American television series that dominated ABC’s airwaves in the mid- to
late 2000s. Spanning six seasons (and 121 episodes), the airplane-crash-landing-on-a-
deserted-island plot features elements others don’t: supernatural forces and science
fiction in the South Pacific Ocean.

11) Survivor

Survivor

Survivor was the first American hit reality game show where the contestant who managed to compete, strategise and avoid eliminations was crowned the winner. From The Bachelor to Top Chef, contemporary reality tv owes much to this series, which leaves strangers, often on an island, to fend for themselves for food, shelter and companionship in hopes of taking home the $1 million prize. The show is now in its 40th season.

And when you can come and visit Bawah Reserve you must watch a movie in our Starlit Cinema on the beach or poolside - a memorable cinema experience, open-air cinema under the stars.
